This Privacy Policy describes how Milestone Fitness ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our website (milestonefitness.com.au), our mobile app, and our coaching services (collectively, the "Service").
Milestone Fitness is operated by Nik Ripley, based in Melbourne, Australia. We comply with the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
1. What information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details: name, email address, phone number, date of birth, postal address
- Health and fitness information: height, weight, body measurements, goals, medical conditions, injuries, allergies, food preferences, training history
- Weekly check-in data: weight, waist, sleep, stress, energy, training adherence, food adherence, photos (optional)
- Payment information: processed securely via Stripe — we do not store your full card details on our servers
- Communications: emails, WhatsApp messages, in-app messages between you and your coach
Information collected automatically
- Device information (model, OS version)
- Usage analytics (which features you use, when, for how long)
- IP address (used for security and approximate location only — not tracked for advertising)
- Sync data from connected wearables (Apple Watch, Garmin, Fitbit) — only if you opt in
2. How we use your information
We use your information for these purposes:
- Service delivery: building your nutrition + training plans, weekly check-in feedback, account management, customer support
- Payment processing: via Stripe for recurring subscription billing
- Communications: plan delivery emails, check-in reminders, system notifications. We may also send occasional updates about the Service — you can opt out anytime
- Service improvement: anonymised usage analytics to make the Service better
- Legal compliance: if required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety
We will never sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Who we share information with
We share your information only with these third parties, all of whom are bound by their own privacy obligations:
We may also disclose information when required by Australian law, regulation, court order, or legal process.
4. How long we keep your information
We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active, plus 7 years after account closure as required by Australian tax and financial recordkeeping laws. After that, we securely delete or anonymise it.
You can request earlier deletion at any time — see Section 7 below.
5. How we protect your information
- All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS / TLS 1.2+
- Data at rest is encrypted by our infrastructure providers (Trainerize, Stripe, Netlify)
- Access to your information is limited to Nik Ripley (your coach) and infrastructure providers acting on our instruction
- We use multi-factor authentication on all administrative accounts
No system is perfectly secure. If we discover a data breach affecting you, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) within 30 days as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
6. Cookies and tracking
Our website uses minimal first-party cookies for session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. We do not sell your browsing behaviour.
7. Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct any inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Lodge a complaint with us, or with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner

8. Children's privacy
Our Service is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
9. International users
Our Service is operated from Australia. If you access it from outside Australia, your information will be transferred to and processed in Australia.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be notified by email to active subscribers.
